In the country of Russia, in the glorious city of Saint Petersburg, in a small cozy theatre at Stachek Avenue there lives a Little Stray Doggy. She lives without any grief, and keeps company mostly with kids, but older children and even grown-ups come to visit her once in a while. Little Stray Doggy shares her home theatre with Little Red Riding Hood, Three Little Pigs, Bid Grey Wolf, Vasilisa the Beautiful, Koschei the Immortal, Thumbelina, Fly Tsokotukha, Ugly Duckling and many-many other puppets. And on holidays and days off, and even on weekdays the Doggy and her puppets put on theatre performances.
Most of all they like to travel around the kingdom of Russia and faraway countries. And everywhere they go — to the lake land of Kareliya, the sea country of Estonia, France, the heart of Europe, hot and passionate Spain, Switzerland, the country of alpine meadows, Denmark, the birthplace of the Little Mermaid, hospitable and festive Croatia — they make friends and find admirers.
Little Stray Doggy has a master, Alla Abdulina, who takes care of her pet and does her best so that Little Stray Doggy enjoys her life and makes others happy. There are also 28 tireless hands that animate the puppets and work wonders. The puppets are born in a special magic room with the help of the chief sorceress, designer Alya Torik and her assistants.
Little Stray Doggy likes to give New Year performances, Christmas shows, children's birthday parties and invite lots of guests to her home theatre. There’s nothing better for her than hearing children's laughter and seeing their eyes sparkle — that’s when she is truly happy and wags her tail.
